What products qualify me for Ski Free?
All ski pants, ski jackets, and ski suits from our latest collection, as well as some selected styles from previous seasons, qualify you for Ski Free. One product is valid for one redemption. For a full list of this ski season’s qualifying products, please see Terms and Conditions. Note that some items are NOT available in Australia and New Zealand. What if I buy my Ski Free product from a third party?
As long as it's a qualifying Ski Free product for the relevant season (see list here), it doesn't matter where you buy it. But be aware that not all retailers have detailed receipts. When buying from a third party, please ensure the receipt clearly states the product name and date of purchase.
How do I get my ski pass?
When you have your receipt from your purchase of a qualifying product, you can visit hellyhansen.com/skifree/validate and fill out the form. There you’ll be asked to select your chosen resort (please see hellyhansen.com/skifree/resorts for your options and information about each resort).
Note: This is a globally run redemption program. Should you hit issues with your redemption please connect with our global team.
Within 48 hours (Monday – Friday) you’ll receive an email from us with a link to your digital voucher and information about the pick-up point at your chosen resort. You can click on the ‘View Now’ button on your email but DO NOT click any further than this.
Show this voucher at the pick-up point (most often the reception desk or ticket office) and let the ski resort employee redeem your voucher and you’ll receive your ski pass from them. Your Ski Free pass then needs to be used straight away on that resort visit/trip, it cannot be taken away and used on another trip.
Why was my Ski Free application rejected?
The main reasons for a Ski Free request to be denied will be:
- Uploaded receipt is out of date, it needs to be current season only.
- Uploaded receipt is blurry, unreadable or missing key details.
- Uploaded receipt does not meet the criteria for approval (out of date, no date shown, does not confirm goods purchased are Helly Hansen, goods shown are not on the official list for this ski season).
- The image you uploaded is not a receipt.
- You have used this receipt before.
What Ski Free offers can I choose between?
Depending on the ski resort you choose, you can redeem your receipt for one of the following offers:
- Free 1-day lift ticket. This means you get a day pass for your chosen resort free of charge, with no additional requirements.
- 2 for 1 lift ticket (same day). Bring a friend or family member and get two lift tickets for the price of one. The two tickets are valid for the same day only (so using this offer, you cannot for example get two consecutive day-passes for yourself).
- Buy one lift ticket, get the second day free. Perfect for a weekend away, this offer gives you two day-passes for the price of one. Valid for one person to use on consecutive days only.
- 3-day lift ticket for the price of 2 days. This offer gives you 3 day-passes for the price of two. Valid for one person to use on consecutive days only.
- 60 min free lesson with instructor. This offer is only valid at one resort (Hafjell ski school in Norway) and is valid for a 60 minute ski lesson at the resort free of charge.
Can I choose any ski resort?
You can choose from any of our partner resorts, listed on our participating resorts page at hellyhansen.com/skifree/resorts. Please note that the offer type varies between the different resorts and that some resorts have blackout dates when the Ski Free offer is not available. This information is also listed on the participating resorts page.
What are blackout dates?
Blackout dates are dates selected by the partner ski resort when Ski Free is not offered. When planning your ski trip, make sure to avoid these. You can find the blackout dates for your chosen resort on hellyhansen.com/skifree/resorts.
Where do I go to pick up my ski pass?
You pick up your ski pass at your chosen resort. The address or location of the exact pick-up point will be listed in the confirmation email you receive from us. Most resorts list the guest desk, ticket office, or reception as their pick-up point.
Does my receipt expire?
Yes, you can only redeem the offer within the same ski season as the product was purchased (so our Fall/Winter 25 ski collection is valid for the 2025/2026 ski season, approximately October–April). Please note that resorts open and close at different times, so if you’re planning a trip early or late in the season, make sure to check the opening times of your chosen resort before applying.
